We are back with the latest news about the Transport Research Knowledge Centre (TRKC). The TRKC is a free database featuring up-to-date information on European transport research activities. It enables policy makers, researchers and other stakeholders to access results of EU or nationally financed transport research in the European Research Area (ERA).

Safety and Security in Mobility – Thematic Research Summary published

Project research results from the TRKC database are analysed according to our 30 transport themes. The policy implications of the projects are compiled into Thematic Research Summaries. These reports are regularly updated as more information from completed research projects from European and national research programmes becomes available.

We are proud to announce the publication of the latest Thematic Research Summary from our series of new updates, each one focused on a single transport theme. It is available for download in the 'Publications' section of the TRKC website:

• The Thematic Research Summary on Safety and Security in Mobility deals with the level of danger that is socially acceptable in a real-life situation, taking into account other factors such as efficiency, cost, liberty and comfort, as well as systems, rules and procedures aimed at preventing, discouraging and detecting negligent, irresponsible or malicious human acts which threaten safety.

Promoting your project's final event

Are you involved in a transport research project? If you would like to promote the final workshop or any other public event of your project to an interested audience, the TRKC event calendar is the right place to do so! Our calendar brings together all relevant European events in transport research – as well as publicising major events worldwide – and is therefore frequently visited by researchers, public administration officials and specialised journalists from all over Europe.

Adding an event to our calendar is simple as it can be. With our online submission form, you can add your event within a couple of minutes. Our publication team will then review and publish it within a few days.
